Begin by listening to the living systems of each place
Regenerative design begins with listening to the living systems of each specific place. Built spaces function best when they align with water flows, local vegetation, and human biology.
I partner with architects and land stewards to guide projects from first concept to ecological coherence, so that the place, the people who use it, and the land it sits on are understood as one system.
Each project is read through the same three considerations, adapted to the scale and character of the site.
01
Place-based analysis
Mapping sun, wind, soils, vegetation, and existing water movement before proposing any form, so the design responds to what is already alive on the site.
02
Bio-based materials
Choosing natural, local, and low-impact materials such as clay, timber, lime, and plant fibres, selected for how they age, breathe, and return to the land.
03
Restorative water cycles
Designing how rain is collected, slowed, infiltrated, and reused, so that water supports the site's vegetation and the people moving through it.
Working with a site, a team, or a land steward?
If you are developing or stewarding a place and want its design to grow from its own ecology, I would welcome the conversation.
